Gotham Girls is a long running series inspired by the various Batman Animated series. The Webisodes star the main female Batman villains and Batgirl and Zatanna. In this story, Batgirl con fronts the Commissioner Gordon who has a new hardline stance on costumed vigilantes running around Gotham. But who is the real person helping the Commissioner fight crime in Gotham?

In just a few minutes, this story captures viewers and weaves a strong tale of deceit, vengeance and good old detective work. Having watched the previous Webisode is not even a requirement. Things just make sense all the way to the solution of the last episode's cliffhanger, to the rivetting action sequence and the jokes with Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

The great animation is the icing on the cake. Great care and economy is used to create intricate animated sequence. The creators are continuously pushing the borders with their animations, and it's quite successful in general. With but a few drawings, they create a strong fight scene involving Batgirl and a new villain. The colours pallette is beautiful and fits the dark and cold Gotham look.
