In the second episode of making Fiends, we finally see some of the wicked things that Vendetta is capable of. Vendetta creates these frightening creatures that impose a martial law over the school yard. This is bullying at it's most extreme. Nevertheless, Charlotte is convinced that she can become friends to some of Vendetta's fiends. Will Show and Tell day at school be perfect, or fiendish?

One could not better plot this story. As a prologue to the entire story, we get to see Vendetta's magic potion / scientific experiments at work. Charlotte, always hopeful, doesn't even realize the danger in which she put her hamster. I thought that the monkey would get more involved in the story and "play" with the kids. Yet a question persists, why don't the kids and school personnel just leave town?

The subtle soundtrack is perfect for this series. It reinforces the dread that most viewers and Vendetta's captives feel throughout the story. The contrast with Charlotte's nursery rhymes is striking. The animation and design hasn't changed much. The speed lines in the scene where the red cat chases the hamster is too stylized to translate the effect of motion. Yet, the project is great to watch.
