Four 9 to 13-year-old kids created this project. Together, they wrote a script, picked characters and the number of shots. We helped them by explaining how to produce a cartoon animation. We also covered basic drawing and computer graphics.
Because cartoon animation is essentially a team activity and requires much work, the kids learned to optimize their work. Each was responsible for animating one character. It offers them the opportunity to express their individuality within a group effort.
This workshop will interest any kid that likes cartoon animation, film, music, video games, computers, writing stories, and comic books. The workshop lets kids touch each hobby while creating their first animated cartoon.
