I want A Fat Babe is a Flash cartoon video parody of a Backstreet Boy's single, I want It That Way. In this video, the Snacktreat Boys sing about their love for fat women and how they abhor skinny ones. By doing this, they go against any establish beauty myth in the entertainment world, in their quest to encourage a fat red hair girl, to become fatter than she already is.
Storytelling a musical short is always a tough job and requires much imagination. In this video, the boys try to convince a fat woman to stay fat, showing her lots of love and food. The parody is entertaining. The cartoon video is filled with Easter eggs and tidbits about the real Backstreet Boys. Once can also shut down on and off the lyrics. There are a few games include while one downloads the clip.
The animation is impressive. The animators used a couple of quick bitmap images here and there to stimulate camera moves such as shakes and fast zooms. As all the boys use the same dance move, the animation is simplified, yet the choreography is well drawn and uses a mix of motion tweens and original animated drawings to achieve maximum results. The music adaptation is good.
