One of the tricks to get fluid animations such as these is to use a Cintiq monitor/tablet from Wacom. This is not a commercial as I'm not getting any benefits from mentioning Wacom here. But fact is, I've had no need to draw animation on paper for quite a while now and have cut down on production time since I began using the tablet.
